What the customer needed
From the customer's own review: most of the house has a standing-seam metal roof, but a flat section between two ridges was covered with a rubber membrane that had passed its life expectancy and was leaking.
A large chimney sits in the middle of that section, with multiple angles around it. The review also notes the metal was carefully removed for re-installation, and that the crew inspected and repaired the chimney cap.
What we found
The photos show the flat section opened up around the brick chimney, with a dark base layer down as the new membrane went in.
What we installed
- White single-ply membrane, heat-welded at the seams
- Membrane flashing turned up the sides of the brick chimney

In the customer's words
“Fit Roofing and Restoration replaced a flat portion of roof (+/- 7 squares) on our residence. Most of the roof is covered with a standing seam metal roof however, between two ridges there is a flat section covered with a rubber membrane that exceeded its life expectancy and was leaking. Repair included careful removal of the standing seam metal roof for later re-installation. Complicating the installation was a large chimney in the center of the residence and multiple angles. I was impressed by their knowledge and professionalism. The late evening and morning hours following completion of the work we experienced nearly 3/4" of rain without any problems. Additionally, they inspected and repaired the cap covering the chimney resulting in no water dripping down the inside of the chimney. I might add that this has been an ongoing problem with previous "professional" repair failing to correct the problem. The crew cleanup was exceptional. All debris, trash, water bottles, cans, etc., were removed. They left it cleaner than when they started! Based on my experience with them, I can easily recommend Fit Roofing and Restoration for your roofing needs.”
